Veganuary Meal Plans for Wellness

Are you doing the Veganuary Challenge? I didn't know about this until I started this little blog. Although I don't identify as "vegan", I have been following a pescatarian nutrition plan for about the past 7 years. My husband is also pescatarian. My oldest daughter is probably what most would call "flexitarian" (she occasionally eats meat), and my youngest daughter has recently made the switch to being vegan. I can attest to feeling better since making the switch, including elimination of bloating and gas, elimination of stomach pain/irritation, more energy, and my stomach is flatter! Plus there is evidence that eating a vegetarian diet lowers the risk of heart disease and cancer.


On August 31 I started the FASTer Way to Fat Loss. One of the bonuses you get in the FASTer Way is Weekly Meal Plans. A vegetarian plan is not offered; however a vegan plan is. So I decided to follow the Vegan Meal Plan. The result? I LOVE IT! The weekly meal plans are not required, but are provided as a resource and as a guide; however having a busy lifestyle I NEED a meal plan. I need someone to say "Here---eat this." I've found I've been MORE than satisfied on the vegan meal plan. I have great energy and I'm eating a wonderful array of colorful foods! I'm also trying some combinations I wouldn't have thought of. The recipes are easy and support whole food eating. The meal plan is also strategically paired with our FASTer Way Workouts for maximum benefit.
